Integrated Marketing & Communications

For Gnarly, I created a warm, strategic brand identity that transforms messy nonprofit systems into a clear visual story through the logo, brand spec card, social templates, and refreshed landing page.

The Challenge

Gnarly helps nonprofits untangle messy internal systems, but "operations and databases" is a hard story to make people feel. The brand needed an identity warm enough to build trust with nonprofit leaders, sharp enough to signal real technical expertise, and consistent enough to scale across every touchpoint from day one.

The Approach

  • One voice, every channel: led integrated communications across social media, email, website, and campaign materials, so the brand felt like one organization everywhere.

  • Dignity-first storytelling: built a community storytelling practice that celebrates people as the heroes of their own stories, never as recipients of charity.

  • Campaigns that convert: developed and promoted signature campaigns and program launches, including the Go! delivery pilot and seasonal giving pushes.

  • Impact made visible: produced the organization's annual impact reports, turning a year of work into a story funders can see and share.
